Sabrina Carpenter gave her fans a special surprise by hosting an intimate pre-release listening party for her highly anticipated new album, Man’s Best Friend.
The private event, held on August 14, welcomed just 26 lucky
fans who were treated to all twelve tracks from the record in an exclusive
“Secret Session”-style experience, reminiscent of the events Taylor Swift
famously hosted during her album rollouts.
Taking a page out of her friend and collaborator’s playbook,
Carpenter ensured the evening was completely spoiler-free by collecting guests’
phones before playing the songs. The Grammy-winning singer kicked off the
session with the album’s opening track, Manchild, before unveiling the rest of
the project.
Fashion was also front and center at the gathering.
Carpenter stunned in a chic, vintage-inspired tweed mini dress that perfectly
matched her signature ‘60s aesthetic. With a cardigan-style bodice, gold
cascading buttons, and a micro-mini skirt, the outfit radiated a Chanel-coded
vibe. While the exact designer has yet to be confirmed, Carpenter’s previous
choice of archival Dolce & Gabbana for her album cover suggests this ensemble
may also have come from a vintage collection. She accessorized with a beaded
top-handle bag and, as many fans suspected, sky-high platform pumps.
After the listening session, Carpenter posed for photos with
her 26 fashion-forward fans, cementing the night as a once-in-a-lifetime
experience for those in attendance.
The event draws a clear parallel to Taylor Swift’s iconic
Secret Sessions, which were first introduced during the 1989 era and continued
through Reputation and Lover. Carpenter, who opened for Swift on the Eras Tour
from 2023 to 2024, will also appear as a featured vocalist on Swift’s upcoming
album The Life of a Showgirl.
With Man’s Best Friend set to officially release soon, this
secret listening party not only generated buzz but also showcased Carpenter’s
ability to create a personal, unforgettable connection with her fans—just like
the pop icons she looks up to.
