Sabrina Carpenter treated a select group of fans to an unforgettable night as she hosted an intimate listening party for her upcoming album, Man’s Best Friend.
The exclusive event, which the Espresso singer playfully
dubbed a “playdate,” took place on Thursday, August 14, offering attendees a
first listen to her highly anticipated record.
The private gathering was a no-phones-allowed experience,
ensuring guests could be fully present. On Instagram, Carpenter shared a
carousel of highlights from the night, captioning it: “Last night was the first
playdate for Man’s Best Friend!”
“I asked 26 of my
beautiful LA fans to meet at a private location and then get on a bus to come
meet me at the studio where I got to play the whole album for them [black heart
and paw emoji],” she wrote.
Carpenter, also known for hits like Please Please Please and
Short n’ Sweet, expressed her gratitude for the fans’ respect during the
session. “They were gracious enough to let me take their phones so they were
totally present and respectful and amazing. It was genuinely one of my favorite
nights in such a long time!” she added.
The 26-year-old pop star described her excitement for this
album as unlike anything she’s felt before, sharing, “The excitement I get to
play this album top to bottom is really like no other record I’ve made.” She
also reminded fans that the release is “just 15 days away now!”
Photos from the event showed group shots, candid moments,
and a short video capturing Carpenter basking in applause after the album
playback. The atmosphere reflected both the warmth of her connection with fans
and the buzz surrounding her latest work.
Man’s Best Friend is slated for release on August 29, just
ahead of Taylor Swift’s upcoming album The Life of a Showgirl, which drops
October 3. Notably, the title track of Swift’s album features a collaboration
with Carpenter, further heightening anticipation for both releases.
With heartfelt fan engagement and a personal touch, Sabrina
Carpenter is building momentum for what could be one of the standout pop albums
of 2025.
